The Christmas tree at Movieland Theater isn’t your typical tree.Instead of the normal decorations like angels or Santa Clauses and fir garlands, the movie theater’s nine-foot artificial tree is decked out with cartoon and Disney characters.Scattered throughout the tree are plastic popcorn boxes, decorative drinking straws from the promotions of past shown movies, 3-D glasses and figures made to top soda cups before they were re-used as Christmas ornaments.There are characters from “Star Wars,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” the minions, Power Rangers, Shrek and his fellow castmates, “Wreck It Ralph” and even Batman and Spiderman.“The figurines are ...
