Gary Lynn Hogg     

    Funeral service for Gary Lynn Hogg, 77, of Lamesa will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Garland Stuart officiating and Todd Hatchett assisting. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Gary passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Lamesa. He was born July 7, 1947 to Woodrow W. (Kipe) Hogg and Ruth Monroe Hogg in Columbia, Louisiana. He married Carol Stapleton in Columbia, Louisiana in April of 1966. They were married 58 years.
    Gary owned Hogg Welding Service for many years. He collected Antique Tractors and liked working on them. He loved drag racing, horse racing, hunting, and taking trips on his motorcycle. And he loved spending time with his grandkids and kids. Gary also loved travelling to Louisiana to visit his and Carol’s family.
    Gary is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Norma Jean Hogg, Sue H. Bryan; brothers, Wayne, Landry and Reginald Hogg; and granddaughter, Chelsea Hogg. 
    He is survived by his wife, Carol Hogg of Lamesa; children, Jerry Wayne Hogg, Cheryl Hatchett and husband, Chris all of Lamesa and Heather Hogg of Sweetwater; grandchildren, Jeremy Roy, Nathan Lopez and wife Deaven, Cody Hogg and wife, Hailey, Jessice Hogg, and Layne Hatchett; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Glenn Hogg and wife, Janice, and Billy Hogg; and sisters, Sandra Rushing and Johnnie Beatty.
