The Sands Mustangs will be looking to extend an impressive streak come Tuesday morning, when the Region I-IA Cross Country Championships leave the starting gate at Lubbock’s Mae Simmons Park.Since the fall of 2014, Sands has sent at least one of its runners to the UIL State Cross Country Championships at Old Settlers Park at Round Rock.“That’s definitely something we’ve been taking pride in.
