Lamesa City Council members got an introduction to the city’s new golf course supervisor during their Tuesday evening meeting.Christian Candreva, who turns 30 today, began the job three weeks ago. He replaces Victor Dimas, who retired last month after 17 years as superintendent.Candreva reported to council about recent happenings at the golf course.Staff sprayed and replanted ares of the course two weeks ago.“There are some improvements we’re trying to make with the golf course and equipment,” Candreva said.He plans to have ditches dug so water pipes could be connected to irrigate the course’s small areas.
