It’s been a productive year for Dawson County. The county has seen consecutive increases each month in its sales tax rebates distributed by the state’s comptroller’s office.The same can’t be said for the City of Lamesa. The city continued to see decreases in both its monthly and year-to-date sales tax rebates.This month, the county’s rebate of $153,783 is 32.95-percent higher when compared to the $115,669 it collected in October 2023.The county has reaped in a total of $1,749,179 so far this year.
