    Funeral services for Juanita Rodriquez Ortiz, of Lamesa, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Manuel and Irene Salazar officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Branon Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. 
    Juanita passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, in Lewisville, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 23,1947, in Lamesa, Texas. She married Abundio Oritz December 19, 1966 in Lamesa, TX. They were married 39 years. Juanita was so loving, full of life and caring to all her family . She will be greatly missed.
    Juana is preceded in death by her husband, Abundio Oritz; daughters, Sylvia Ortiz and Alice Ortiz; her mother and father, Paula Lujan and Vicente Rodriquez; and her sister, Annie Rodriguez. And Belia Garza. She is survived by her sisters, Enedina Grimaldo of Denton, TX., Evangelina Jimenez and husband, Ramon Jimenez of Irving, TX., Rosalina Castellano, and Maria Perez, both of Lewisville, TX., her brothers, Jesus Rodriguez and wife, Rose Mary Rodriguez of Midland, TX., Freddy Rodriguez and wife, Diana Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX., and Raul Lujan of Big Spring, TX.; 3 grandchildren, Randy Barron, Ruben Barron and Alice Jane Barron; great granddaughter, Angel Cortez; and numerous, nieces and nephews.
