Every January during the Dawson County Junior Livestock Show, members of the Honey Bee Society always bid on students’ animals.Besides the bids, members of the non-profit organization also distribute college scholarships to students from a three-county area. Those scholarships are funded through a fund raiser put on by the society members.That fund raiser, the group’s fourth annual “Knott Your Average Shoot” event, is taking place starting at 9 a.m., Saturday on private property in Knott, an unincorporated community in northwestern Howard County near Big Spring.
