There’s still time to sign up to help with the 26th annual “Back-to-School Giveaway.”Each year, volunteers collect monetary donations to purchase new clothing, backpacks and school supplies for Dawson County students.They will distribute those items to parents and their youngsters from 8 a.m. until noon, Aug. 3 at the First Methodist Church at 409 N. 3rd Street.Volunteers can help prepare for the event next week.
