Dawson County commissioners Tuesday discussed during a budget workshop session the $1.3 million cost of renovating a downtown building to accommodate the adult and juvenile probation departments.They took no action on the matter. Instead, they discussed the possibility of doing the work cheaper.Last year, commissioners purchased the building, called “Reality Building” at 413 S 1st Street, from United Methodist Church members.The facility had once been used by the church for its youth activities.The facility will replace the adult and juvenile probation offices that have been plagued with flooding problems for years.
