    Funeral services for Janie Baltazar age 70 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18,
2024 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Liboryo Iglesias officiating. Funeral arrangements are
under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00
p.m., and Friday, May 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an Inspirational Service at 7:00 p.m.
    Janie passed away at her home in Lamesa, TX. surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She
was born on November 6, 1953, in Lamesa, TX.
Janie was preceded in death by father, Cruz Baltazar, Sr., and her mother, Amelia G. Baltazar; her sons, Vicente Vasquez, Jr., Fernando Vasquez, and Baby Vasquez-twins; her grandson, Jesse Vasquez, Jr.; her great-grand-daughter, Cindy Lizzet Vasquez; her brothers, Tiodoro (Lolo) Baltazar, Jessie Baltazar, Luis
Baltazar, Sr., and Joe Baltazar
    Janie enjoyed crocheting. She loved to make blankets for all her loved ones, from the youngest to the
oldest. She loved to drink her coffee and sit outside and watch the birds. She enjoyed riding on motorcycles
around town. She loved to be around her grandkids, great grandkids, of course, her own kids. Janie had a heart of gold. She loved to play with her loved ones with her sense of humor. Her favorite places to eat were River Smith’s, Long John Silvers, and KFC, and don’t forget her Dr. Pepper drink. She loved and had a green hand for her Ivy Plants. During her free time, she loved to watch Hulu on her ipad and playing games, especially Pac-man, was her favorite. She could talk for hours on her phone. She had a large collection of purses, hats, and jewelry, she could never have too much.
    Janie is survived by her sons, Leroy Vasquez of Houston, TX., Billy Vasquez and wife
Susanna of Lamesa, TX., Jesse Vasquez and wife Nadia, Sr. of Runge, TX.; her daughters, Jennifer Vasquez Sistos and husband Ruben of Big Spring, TX., and Desirae Galindo of Lamesa, TX.; her brothers, Cruz Baltazar, Sr., and Henry Baltazar, Sr., both of Lamesa, TX., Lupe Baltazar of San Antonio, TX.; her
sisters, Mary Ybarra, Adelita Iglesias, Mickey Bara, Sylvia Munoz, and Lyria Martinez, all of Lamesa, TX.; 20 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
