Jewell Juanita Jackson

    Jewell Juanita Jackson, 98, of Lamesa passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024. Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home.
    Jewell was born on September 23, 1925 in Durant, OK. to John Daniel and Beulah Pearl (Richardson) Bates.
    She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, word circle puzzles and most of all, Jewell loved her dog Holly.
Jewell is survived by her children, Wayne Gruben and wife Barbara of Lamesa and Nita Davis of Lamesa; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great- grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Beulah Pearl Bates; husband, W.T. Jackson, and sisters, Winnie Perry, Lucille Bunn and Reba Hittson.
