There are now two school superintendents in town.Lamesa school district’s director of human resources, Dr. Gregory Nelson, has been named the finalist in Lorenzo school district’s search for a new superintendent.Lamesa school board members learned during their Thursday night board meeting about Dr. Nelson’s promotion.“I just wanted to congratulate him in front of the board,” said School Superintendent David Ritchey. “It’s a huge deal for you (Dr. Nelson); a huge deal for Lamesa.”The City of Lorenzo is located about 20 miles east of Lubbock and 17 miles west of Crosbyton, the Crosby County seat.The job offer doesn’t become official until ...
