Lamesa school officials are inviting the community to come to know the new athletic director while enjoying some refreshments.The meet and greet session will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday in the high school cafeteria. Hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages will be served.The new athletic director and head football coach, Efrain Ramos, took over the job after former Athletic Director Gregg Moreland resigned from the position.Ramos served as the boys’ athletic coordinator for the Anna school system and defensive coordinator for the 2023 state champions.Before that, he worked at Lubbock Coronado, Amarillo Tascosa and Amarillo Palo Duro.
