Five Dawson High School students returned from regional University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition with first place awards.Anahi Gonzalez, along with team members Ethan Martinez, Santiago Salas, Jordan Antu and Devon Armendariz all won first place in two areas.Gonzalez captured the top prize in science. As a team, Martinez, Salas, Antu and Armendariz took the blue ribbon in social studies.As individual competitors in the social studies competition, Martinez won third place, Salas came in fourth; and Antu and Armendariz both tied in 10th.
