Wanda Chapman

    Graveside services for Wanda Merle Chapman, 85, formerly of Lamesa, will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery in Big Spring, Texas with Nicky Chapman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Wanda passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1939, in Lamesa, Texas to Covie Williams and Murlene Cave Williams. She married Leroy “Sonny” Chapman in 1968. Wanda was very artistic. She loved ceramics, quilting, and crocheting. She also loved playing the piano and organ.
    Wanda is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Callaway of Lubbock; and sister, Dorothy Harry of Lubbock.
    Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy “Sonny” Chapman; and sister, Shirley Kountz.
    Pallbearers to honor her are Nelson Mobley, Zane Spivey, Ronald Mobley, Travis Marshall, and Billy Chapman.
