Graveside services for Pamela Hope Kilgore, 64, of Lamesa will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Gwen Aldridge officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home.
Hope passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 26, 1959 in Lamesa, TX to Marvin and Melva (Clark) Jones.
Our mom was a woman who had great morals and values, who loved deeply and took care of anyone she ever met. She had unmatchable strength and a subtle stubbornness, that got her through life. She took care of others when they were sick and watched everyone she loved pass away, but still tried to find the positive in the situations. She did everything she could for our dad during his last days, our nana and her friend Linda. She knew tough love and she tried her hardest to make sure her children had whatever they needed. We remember years of us telling her she needed new shoes and her saying as long as y’all have clothes that’s all that matters. She put us first her whole life. We remember her skating with us and being able to get down to the floor on skates. There was lots of laughter in our childhood. She was a hard worker at anything that she did. She loved going and looking at the baby calves. She loved daisies and the color green. She always made sure we celebrated holidays and even did Halloween in the house one year. She was funny, she was smarter than people knew, and she was proud of all of her children. She always knew she wanted to be a mom. She told us that the four of us were like the four chambers of her heart. She raised her children and had grandkids and many others that called her grandma, mom, or Hopey. She was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed. Now she can be with her husband, mom and dad. We love you mom.
Hope is survived by her children, Brandi Peek and husband Jason of Camden, AR., Tandi Kilgore and Kris Jackson of Houston, TX., Randi Kilgore of O’Donnell, TX. and Andy Kilgore of Lubbock, TX.; 13 grandchildren; and three brothers, Gene Loftin, Richard Jones, and Timmy Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Melva Jones; and her husband Bob Kilgore.
