Lamesa City Council members Tuesday canceled the May 4 election in the race for three seats, and appointed election judges to serve in a special election for a fourth seat.The cancelation of the May 4 regular election sees incumbents Bobby Gonzales and Danny Jacobs remain in city office. Gonzales represents the council’s District 5 position while Jacobs serves on District 4.Hayden Davis was the only candidate to file for the council’s District 1 position.
