There’s a general consensus among basketball junkies that the first three minutes of a half are some of the biggest on the clock.Unfortunately that came back to bite the Golden Tornado boys Tuesday evening at Monahans wherethey sawtheir season end after falling to the red hot Presidio Blue Devils, 45-32, in Class 3A Bi-District playoff action.Presidio’s season record after Tuesday’s victory was 18-7. Counting Tuesday’s playoff victory the Blue Devils had won 11 out of their last 12 games.The Golden Tor boys,who made the state playoffs all 16 seasons that Gregg Moreland had been their head coach, finished at 15-14.
