Pablo “Paul” Rosalez Cuellar, Sr.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Pablo “Paul” Rosalez Cuellar, Sr. age 73 of Lamesa, TX. at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Paul passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at his home in Lamesa, TX. He was born on December 1, 1950, in Edna, TX. Paul married Frances Barron on August 20, 1969, in Lamesa, TX.
Paul was preceded in death by his son, Pablo (Paul) Cuellar, Jr.; his parents, Jose Angel Cuellar Sr., and Sofia Rosalez Cuellar; sisters, Mary C. Garcia, Rosie C. Maciel, and Juanita C. Barron; brothers, Gregorio Cuellar, Modesto Cuellar, Antonio Cuellar, Margarito Cuellar, and Jose Angel Cuellar, Jr.
Paul was a farmer for 41 years and loved farming. He enjoyed softball and loved to watch his boy’s play the same softball sport which he loved, and he loved to watch NFL and root for his 49’ers, he also would watch WWE and loved to spend time outside doing his yard. Paul loved all of his kids with all his heart. When you were in need or help, he was always there to help out, and if he had his last dollar, he would give it to you. He was a big jokester and would make people laugh with his jokes and give good advice.
Paul is survived by his loving family, his wife, Frances Barron Cuellar of Lamesa, TX.; daughters, Jo Ann Baltazar (Raul Baltazar), and Jessica Cuellar, all of Lamesa, TX.; son, Ronnie Cuellar (Katie Cuellar) of Lamesa, TX.; daughter-in-law, Maggie Baltazar of Lubbock, TX.; grandchildren, Jacolby Cuellar, Isabella Cuellar, Jordan Cuellar, Jose Angel Cuellar, Nicholas Cuellar, Justice Baltazar, Ivan Baltazar, David Gomez, and Kassidy Gomez; great-grandchildren, Bray Cuellar, Jacob Cuellar, Anastacia Moreno, Nyeli Moreno, Jaylee Cuellar, and Penelope Moreno; his sister, Inez “Anna” C. Perez of Big Spring, TX.
