Two new candidates tossed their hats this week into the May 4 races.David Boyd filed Wednesday in the District 1 Lamesa Independent School District (LISD) board’s election. Hayden Davis filed Thursday to run for the District 1 seat on the city council.Boyd will run against Board President Rebecca Gonzales.Davis is seeking an empty seat vacated by former Lamesa City Council member Morgan Vermillion.
