Voters have a chance to learn about the candidates seeking county offices in the March 5 primary election by attending a candidates’ forum Thursday night.The Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the forum in the Forrest Park Community Center.The forum begins at 6:30 p.m., but doors will open at 5:30 p.m. to give voters a chance to meet and greet candidates.The forum will feature candidates seeking the elected offices of the county sheriff, tax assessor/collector, and Precinct 1 and Precinct 3 county commissioners’ seats in next month’s election.Incumbent Mark Shofner is running unopposed for his Precinct 1 county commissioner’s ...
