The Sands Mustangs enjoyed a District 8-1A basketball clean sweep over the Grady Wildcats last Friday night at Ackerly.After overcoming a shaky start, the Mustangs held off the Wildcats, 35-31, in Friday’s girls game.Sands girls, now 17-13 overall 7-2 in district play, found themselves down 16-5 at the end of the first quarter.The Mustang girls were down 18-16 at the half.“It seemed like we couldn’t make a shot at first.
