Negotiations between the county and the city finally came to an end Monday when Lamesa City Council members approved an interlocal agreement in a 4-0 unanimous vote.The agreement, approved by Dawson County commissioners last year, sets out the shared financial responsibilities between both entities for fire services, airport maintenance, the community swimming pool, police communications and the municipal landfill.The county and city have had a mutual interlocal agreement for at least over two decades.
