The Golden Tornado girls hoop squad took its first step toward returning to the state playoffs after coming home from Muleshoe Tuesday night with a big 60-21 road win in their District 3-3A opener.“This was a big win and hopefully another big confidence builder for our girls,” Lamesa Coach Trenton Jones said.This contest was never much in doubt after the Golden Tor girls jumped out to a 16-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.
