A Women’s Conference is being held at the First United Methodist Church Saturday.The event is only open to women from all church affiliations.“We have (a Women’s Conference) every year,” said church member Jackie Hahn.Attendees will start with a worship service at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.Emma Meek, a college student and daughter of the church pastor, Kendall Meek, will lead the congregation in worship with music.Davina Carter is this year’s speaker.“We have worship in the sanctuary, music and a preacher goes in and we go into the MAC (Ministries Activities Center) and have lunch,” Hahn said.The ceremony will move ...
