In his report to Lamesa City Council members Tuesday, Lamesa Police Chief Josh Stevens updated them on the calls dispatchers handle and offi cers respond to.He also reported there are 36 registered sex offenders living within the city limits.The offenders have complied to all the requirements in registering their status.His report covered officers’ responses to anything from minor accidents to fights to burglaries and thefts between August and Oct. 15.“I personally have noticed a lot of your officers riding around,” said Mayor Josh Stevens in commending the chief. “I appreciate all that you guys do.”In the month of August, dispatchers ...
