Thanks to last week’s rainfall and a dip in temperatures, Dawson County made it through another summer without enacting a burn ban.In his bi-monthly report to county commissioners Tuesday, Fire Chief Larry Duyck announced the county’s Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) numbers have dropped by 342 points.Fire departments and county officials make their decisions on enacting bans outlawing outdoor burning based upon the KBDI numbers.KBDI numbers range from 0 to 800.
