Lamesa Service Club member Richard Leonard places flags Monday morning on the east side of the county courthouse in remembrance of 9-11 attacks. Monday was the 22th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon and hijackers’ attempts to divert a commercial plane into the national capitol in Washington, D.C. Three thousand workers, passengers on four hijacked planes and first responders died in the attack or after the Twin Towers collapsed in Lower Manhattan in New York City.
