Jose De La Luz Carrasco

    Graveside services for Jose De La Luz Carrasco 79, of Lamesa, TX., were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The viewing was held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
    Jose passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, in San Augustine. He was born December 13, 1943, in Cuchillo Parado Chihuahua, Mexico. Jose is the son of Nicodemes Carrasco and Cristina Rubio.
    Jose is survived by his daughters, Sonia and husband Tim Jacobs of Joaquin, and Maria A. Carrasco and Orioll Licon of Borger; his grandchildren, Natalie Ovalle and Doug Moffett of Amarillo, Blane Bailey of Joaquin, Carlos Carrasco III of Borger, and Arnaldo Carrasco of Borger; and his great-grandchild, Evyn Ovalle of Amarillo.
    Jose was preceded in death by his children, Maria Leticia Carrasco and Arnaldo Carrasco; his father, Nicodemes Carrasco and mother, Cristina Rubio; one sister, and two brothers.
