Bruce Sturgeon

    Funeral services for Bruce Sturgeon, 63, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. A burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
Bruce passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in Lamesa, TX.
    Bruce was born on July 11, 1960 in Lamesa, Texas to Rene and Ageda (Moreno) Sturgeon. 
    He worked in the oilfield industry for many years and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his children, Bruce Sturgeon, Jr. of Portland, Tx., Veronica Ramirez of Taft, Tx., Cynthia Coronado of Taft, Tx. and Randy Justin Sturgeon of Denver City, Tx.; three grandchildren; sisters, Eva Carranza and husband Angel Morales of Palm Bay, Florida, Kay Castillo and husband Lazaro of Lamesa, Tx. and Mary Ann Garcia of Houston, Tx.; brothers, Guillermo Sturgeon of Lamesa, Tx., Jimmy Sturgeon of Odessa, Tx., and William Sturgeon also of Odessa, Tx.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Sylvia Sturgeon.
