City council to meet Tuesday
Two bids, a proposal, an agreement with the school district and an update on the demolition of condemned abandoned properties are all on the agenda facing Lamesa City Council members Tuesday.
The council is meeting at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 601 S. 1st Street.
After their regular meeting, council members will conduct a budget workshop session.
During the regular meeting, council members will open and award bids for information technology services and for a mower for the golf course.
The council will hear a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) proposal for monitoring water towers and lift stations by computer, along with a potential U.S. Department of Agriculture award for coverage.
They will consider passing a resolution approving a service agreement for up to five school resources officers for the Lamesa school district.
Council members could decide on another resolution denying electricity distributor ONCOR’s distribution cost recovery factor to increase its rates within the city.
The council will vote on the second reading of a resolution approving an economic incentive and performance agreement between Lamesa Economic Alliance Project and Cody Sandlin, owner of a One Guy from Italy restaurant now under construction in the downtown area.
They will also vote for the second time on changes to the city’s building regulations affecting electricians.
The council could go into executive session to discuss property issues. They will not take any action after returning into open session.
