A groundbreaking ceremony is planned Wednesday afternoon for the One Guy From Italy restaurant now getting under construction on the west side of Lamesa’s downtown square.The public is encouraged to be on hand for the event which will begin at 4 p.m. at 118 Austin Ave., said Mona Ferguson, executive director of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP).The ceremony is expected to last about 15 minutes. Refreshments will be available.LEDC sold the vacant property where owner Cody Sandlin is building the restaurant. LEAP has approved financial incentives for the project.
