Antonia Gomez Aguilar

    Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life in remembrance of Antonia Gomez Aguilar, age 69, of Lamesa, TX., at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Jose Gomez officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The viewing will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home. 
    Antonia passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Midland, TX. 
    Antonia was born to Pablo and Ramona Gomez on March 29, 1954, in Lamesa, TX.  She was one of twelve children.  Antonia married the love of her life, Frank Aguilar, on May 31, 1975, in Lamesa, TX.
    Antonia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Aguilar; her parents, Pablo Gomez, Sr. and Ramona Gomez; sisters, Miceala Gomez, Juanita Flores, and Epifania Lugan; brothers, Pablo Gomez, Jr., and Victor Gomez.
    Antonia was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend, and always so caring to everyone. She enjoyed doing crafts and caring for her plants. Antonia was devoted to her faith in God, and it was expressed by her heart of gold. She will surely be missed by her family and friends. 
    Antonia is survived by her sisters, Maria Louisa (Rolando) Gomez of Corpus Christi, TX., Helen Gonzalez of Midland, TX., Elda Gomez, and Emily Rodriguez, both of San Angelo, TX.; brothers, Jose Gomez of Odessa, TX., and Ricardo Gomez of Andrews, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
