Creating what has been a rare scene here since last fall, a service truck splashes through rainfall runoff on a city street here Saturday morning. Rainfall totals across most of Dawson County are still well below what farmers need to get a crop up and growing, scattered rainfall during the past week – including a brief downpour in Lamesa at mid-day Monday – is at least providing hope for more to come.
