After a strong showing earlier, the Lamesa Middle School (LMS) Symphonic Band wasn’t finished accumulating awards.Band members earned a Division 1 rating at the Greater Southwest Music Festival held in Amarillo April 28.The Golden Tornado Symphonic Band previously captured a Superior ratings in both concert and sight reading performances during a two-day contest in Abernathy over a week ago.LMS’ Honor Band also received a Division 1 rating in the Amarillo festival.
