ANDREWS – Jury duty turnout in Andrews County has gradually declined over the past five years, even reaching a point where a recently scheduled trial in 109th District County was nearly impacted.The turnout hit a low during a recent jury seating in which a mistrial was avoided by a slim one or two jurors, according to 109th District Judge John Pool.The majority of jurors summoned for seating that did not show up, resulting in a close call of whether the trial would require re-setting, Pool noted.At that point, enough was enough.
