Hector Salazar

    Funeral services for Hector Salazar, age 69, of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the Faith of God in Christ Church with Pastor Ramiro Lumbreras officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
    Hector passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, March 20, 2023, at his residence in Lamesa, TX.     
    He was born March 6, 1954, in Sabina Coahuila, Mexico. Hector married Hilda Conde on February 20, 1977, in Lamesa, TX.
    Hector was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hilda Conde Salazar on October 18, 2022; his parents, Arnulfo and Esther Salazar; his brother, Eduardo Salazar; and his mother-in-law, Georgina Conde.
    Hector was a very quiet and private man with a heart for all. Married to his beloved wife Hilda Conde Salazar, they together raised their family in Lamesa, TX. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather to many.
    We will miss his baking, cooking, and all stories of everyday life. He enjoyed spending time with his brother Arnulfo Salazar. His long talks and advice will be greatly missed by all he touched, especially his sisters.
    Hector is survived by his loving children, his sons, Mark Torres and daughter-in-law, Nancy Torres, Hector Salazar, Jr., Arnulfo Salazar and daughter-in-law, Tabitha Salazar, and Aaron Ray Torres, all of Lamesa, TX.; his daughter, Teresa Contreras and son-in-law Cristian Contreras of Lamesa, TX.; his brother, Arnulfo Salazar and sister-in-law Janie Salazar of Lamesa, TX.; his sisters, San Juana Salazar, Susana Salazar, Olma Yaneth Salazar, and Maricella Salazar, all of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico; several grandchildren; his faithful friend, his beloved dog Zues.
