Kay Barrow

    Kay Matthews Barrow, 86, of Lamesa passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Wilshire Place Senior Living in Lubbock. 
    Services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Lamesa, Texas with Dennis Adams officiating. 
    Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Branon Funeral Home.
    Kay was born July 11, 1936, in Dawson County, Texas to L.E and Edna Matthews. She married Carl Barrow in 1952 where they lived on their beloved farm in Lamesa. Kay was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and dedicated her life to helping others. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and dominoes.
    Kay is survived by two granddaughters, Regi Terry and husband Shawn of Hutto, Texas and Angie Fikes of Ransom Canyon, Texas and five great grandchildren Chase Gleghorn, Cameron Fikes, Codee Terry, Caylee Terry and Ashton Carney.
    She was preceded in death by her parents. L.E. and Edna Parchman Matthews, husband, Carl Barrow; sons Kenny and Steve Barrow; and sister, JoAnn Wilkerson.
    The family suggests memorials to Dawson County Public Library 511 N. Third, Lamesa, Texas 79331.
