The Dawson Dragons put up a good fight Tuesday night at Loop but it wasn’t enough as the Longhorns prevailed, 39-23, in their regular-season finale.“Our guys played hard again tonight. We probably played good enough defense,” Dawson Coach Gary Jones said. “But it was another one of those nights where we couldn’t buy a basket.”Devon Armendariz and Jason Rodriguez shared high point honors for the Dragons with eight points each. Malachi Hilario had four points and Dylan Gary had three.“We’ve gotten better,” Jones said. “It’s been a fun bunch, mainly in the way that they keep giving us good effort.”
