ANDREWS – The city council on Thursday heard an update on a project to provide every household within the city limits with access to high-speed fiber internet.Last April, the council approved using nearly $400,000 in federal COVID relief funds to expand high-speed fiber optic broadband services for city residents.Andrews City Manager Steve Eggleston provided the update regarding Windstream’s efforts with the project.Eggleston said the project to add another 1,700 high-speed fiber connections within Andrews had completed the planning, engineering, permitting and procurement phases.Windstream anticipates construction and installation to begin soon and aims to have all lines installed by this fall,
