After almost five years as the Lamesa school district’s chief financial officer (CFO), Liz Oaks is leaving the post to take a similar position with a larger Central Texas school district.Oaks turned in her resignation Monday. Her last day is Thursday.She begins her new position as La Vernia school district’s CFO on Jan. 5, 2023.“It’s outside of San Antonio.
