When Army veteran and high school English teacher Tina Trevino Doster was told she would be this year’s guest speaker at the Veterans Day Assembly Friday morning at middle school, she was definitely honored.She then had to think about what she would tell about a dozen veterans, their family members and more than 300 middle school students sitting in the audience.Her message was simple and straight forward.
