Brian Keith Lybrand

    Tyler — Brian Keith Lybrand passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.
    He was born on June 1, 1960 in El Paso, Texas to Bennie & Carole Lybrand.
    He graduated from Lamesa High School in Lamesa, Texas, then graduated from Jacksonville Baptist College in Jacksonville, Texas and the University of Texas in Tyler. 
    He was the head architect for Brookshire’s Grocery Company in Tyler, when he retired in December, 2021 and was employed with them for 31 years. 
    Keith was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Frank Lybrand. 
    He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 41 years, Lydia Lybrand; son & daughter-in-law, Aaron & Amie Lybrand; son & daughter-in-law, Josh & Taylor Lybrand and five grandchildren: Abbie Lybrand, Ava Lybrand, Alivia Lybrand, Addison Lybrand & Case Lybrand. He is also survived by his mother, Carole Lybrand, brother & sister-inlaw, Phillip & Jan Lybrand and a host of nieces, nephews & other extended family. 
    Pallbearers are: Brad Conrado, Brandon Culpepper, Shane Rohrbach, Kip Sutherland, Alan Swartz, Brandon Varnell. Honorary Pallbearers are: Woody Clawson, Charles Dean, John Gentry, Rob Graham, Phil Kahler & Rob Thomas.
    Keith put his faith in the grace of Jesus at the age of 13 and his confidence was that just as Jesus was resurrected, those who trust in Him will be as well. 
    He was a faithful member of the Central Baptist Church in Tyler for over 39 years. His passion was loving Jesus and loving people. 
    At Central, he served as a Deacon, Minister of Music, Jr. High Awana Teacher, Kids Camp Counselor, Students Ministry Leader, Men’s Ministry Leader, Ruth Ministry Worker, Discipleship Leader and a bass player for many years in the CT Worship Team. 
    Being an architect, he enjoyed giving input to plan various building projects for Central and he helped design the CT Student Center. 
    He wore the CT bracelet on his wrist every day that says, “Central is about others, when it’s not about me, others can know Jesus”.     
    Keith also loved missions and helping the Gospel to be spread around the world. So, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Baptist Bible Fellowship International, P. O. Box 191, Springfield, MO 65801.
    Services were held on Tuesday, November 8th, at Central Baptist Church, Tyler, and the burial followed at the New Harmony Community Cemetery on Highway 724 under the direction of Stewart Funeral Home in Tyler.
