    Funeral service for Richard Lopez, 49, of Lamesa, will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 2:00  p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Gamez officiating. 
    Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
    Richard passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Lubbock, Tx. 
    He was born to Ruben Valle and Adela (Torres) Lopez on July 30, 1973 in Lamesa, Tx.
    He was a hardworking man who was very loving to others, loved music, singing and playing guitar. He also taught his siblings to fish and enjoyed taking his sister trick-or-treating.
    Richard is survived by his mother, Adela Lopez of Lamesa; children, Myla Reyes Lopez, and Joshua Jesse James Lopez; and sister’s, Maria Geneva Torres of Crystal City, and Magdalena Flores of Lamesa.
     He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Ruben Joseph Torres.
