Jerry Chapman
Jerry Ray Chapman of Lamesa passed away from a short battle with cancer at home surrounded by his family on August 19, 2022.
He was born to Howard and Edna Chapman on April 21, 1942, and pursued a career in farming.
Jerry had a real and profound experience with the Lord and began to grow and mature as a son of God. He walked in Godly wisdom, counsel and character. He was polite and kind and cared much about and for others. He was an honorable man full of integrity. He is now in a place where there are no limits to whom God made him to be.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, June Grammer Chapman, his son, Mark Taylor and wife Karen and their four daughters, Samantha, Alexis, Skye, and Kassie, his daughter Susan Taylor and husband Phil and their four sons, Nathan, Christian, Andrew (wife Nicole) and Isaiah, and his daughter Cher Hutchings and her husband Brandy and their four children, Preston (wife Melannie), Ryan, Allison, and Jase, and two great grandchildren Asher and Indie. One brother Billy Chapman and three sisters Helen Nance, Beverley Cortese, Sharon Eubanks and husband Lloyd, brother-in-law Mike Grammer and sister-in-law Jane Merrick and many nephews and nieces. He is proceeded in death by his mother and father and 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM at Branon Funeral Home.
