COVID count drops here

The number of active COVID-19 cases among Dawson County residents dropped slightly again this past week, but another death here has been attributed to the virus.That’s according to an update issued Wednesday evening by Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District.That report now shows that COVID has claimed the lives of 96 residents of Dawson County since the first case here was reported in March of 2020.Dawson County had 25 active COVID cases as of Wednesday, down from 30 cases the previous week and 32 on July 13.The number of COVID cases across the five-county district ...
