After saying yes to twopercent median pay raises for the school district’s 300 employees, school board members Thursday tied in a 3-3 vote when it came to offering the school superintendent the same package.The board did agree to offer school staff – including Superintendent Jim Knight – a five-percent Return to Work Incentive that will be paid out in two increments.The two-percent median pay increase for Knight failed for lack of a majority vote.Board members Rebecca Gonzales, April Martinez and Kevin Telchik cast the dissenting votes against Knight’s two-percent pay raise.Favoring the pay increase for Knight were Ernest Ogeda, Beverly ...
