Lamesa City Council members agreed in a special meeting Monday to contract with an area company for inspection services.The one-year professional agreement with Safebuilt Texas, LLC will provide consultation services to the city’s inspections department on an as-needed basis.The company will assist city inspector Brian Beck with various services, particularly plan reviews.“It’s a very time consuming process,” Beck said about plan reviews. “If I do them, there’s something that’s not going to get done or I’ll be working 50-100 hours (a week).”Beck already works 40-60 hours a week on permits and inspections.City Manager Joe Hines said Safebuilt Texas will be ...
