With just a few weeks before the school year ends, Lamesa high school and middle school students will get another lesson – this time in life.School officials are scheduling Steered Straight presentations by former drug abuser and convicted felon Michael DeLeon on May 12. The program is focusing on the dangers of vaping and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the natural component found in cannabis or marijuana.There will be several morning sessions of the anti-vaping and marijuana program at the high school.
