Borden County’s bats remain hot just in time for the Class 1A baseball playoffs.The district champion Coyotes knocked off the O’Donnell Eagles, 12-3 on Monday at Gail in their regular season finale.It was a 3-2 game before the Coyotes erupted for nine runs in the fourth inning. They got four more in the fifth and five in the sixth.Now 12-7 on the year, the Coyotes swept all three of their District 4-2A games against the Eagles. O’Donnell is now 1-15-1.With only two 1A schools in District 4-2A baseball, Borden County will advance to the playoffs as the district’s top seed ...
